This Roosevelt Dime was minted 1984 in Denver, then aftermarket dipped in 24 kt gold. The dime comes surrounded by gold plated bezel on a 18” 24 kt gold plated over Sterling Silver chain.
President Franklin Delanor Roosevelt appeared on the U.S. dime since 1946. Introduced shortly after his death in April 1945, the coin was designed to honor his legacy, particularly his leadership in the March of Dimes organization to combat polio. The coin was designed by John R. Sinnock.
Since 1965 the Dime has been a layered clad coin, outer layer is 75% copper and 25% nickel with the core of pure copper. Overall being 91.67% copper and 8.33% nickel.
