Traditional Japanese Art, Pagoda and Geisha Girls, Hand Painted with stippling, Oriental, Meiji Era, 1868-1912, Cup measures 3.5” wide & 2” high and saucer is 5.5” in diameter. Gold gilt with vibrant colors: white, yellow, orange, pink, green, red, blue, black and brown paints were used on a white porcelain under a high-luster glaze with stippling or moriage.
Design- Oriental, hand painted, eggshell porcelain with red trim. Estimated at 175 years old. Imported during Meiji Era (1868-1889) prior to mandatory import markings.
